How pressurized oxygen works
During the therapy, the patient breathes pure oxygen in a barochamber under a pressure 2-3 times higher than atmospheric. Thanks to the increased pressure, the concentration of oxygen in the blood and tissues increases several times, which means that oxygen reaches places that are otherwise poorly supplied with blood.
Increased oxygen levels stimulate the formation of new blood vessels, strengthen the immune system, reduce swelling, and speed up the healing of wounds that are otherwise difficult to heal.
Key effects of therapy
- 2–3 times higher than atmospheric pressure
- Stimulates the growth of new blood vessels
- Strengthens the immune system
- Accelerates wound healing
